Privacy policy

Last updated 13 October 2026

The short version: the app sends nothing anywhere, the website has no analytics, and the only third party involved is the store that takes your payment.

The app

Many Displays runs entirely on your Mac. It makes no network connections of its own, has no analytics, no crash reporting and no account. There are three exceptions, all of which you trigger:

Everything the app stores stays in your home folder:

The app needs the Accessibility permission to move windows. It uses it only for that, and it does not read window contents, keystrokes or clipboard.

This website

manydisplays.com is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, trackers or advertising scripts. GitHub, as the hosting provider, may log requests (IP address, user agent, time) as described in GitHub's privacy statement. Downloads are served from GitHub Releases under the same terms.

Buying a licence

Purchases are handled by Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments), which acts as the merchant of record. Stripe collects and processes your name, email address, billing country and payment details, issues the invoice and handles VAT and sales tax. We never see your card number. We receive your email address and the purchase date so we can issue your licence key, email it to you, answer support requests and process refunds; the key itself is derived from those two facts and nothing is stored beyond what Stripe keeps. Stripe's handling of your data is described in their privacy policy.

Support email

If you write to support@manydisplays.com, we keep the conversation for as long as needed to help you and to improve the app. If you attach a log or diagnostics output, please check it first; it can contain window titles. We do not share it with anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing the address above. For data held by Stripe, contact them directly or ask us and we will forward the request.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. The site is in a public Git repository, so every change is visible.
